 | Stuart has been drinking in jazz since the age of 2, when he would listen to Oscar Peterson and the Modern Jazz Quartet all day, among many other sound and inspirational influences! Stuart began studying classical piano aged 7, and progressed to jazz piano with Steve Reynolds, aged 15. He has been encouraged and guided by John Moore - director of music at Shrewsbury School, and Stuart Spiers, who runs the Jazz Combo at the school, and he joined the Shrewsbury Big Band.  | Russell was born in whiston, Merseyside in 1980. He started
taking piano lessons at the age of 8, and at the age of 14
he
entered the maghull festival of music competition, winning
first prize. At 15 he won the Knowsley Young Musician of the
year competition. He is also a keen clarinettist, and
entered
the Merseyside police band competition twice to eventually
play on the Liverpool Empire Theatre (1994), and the
Liverpool philharmonic Hall (1995) with the band and the
guest conductor Carl Davis, and tuba player/session musician
Herbie Flowers. He has recenly played gigs in the follwing
areas:
Denbighshire/Sir Ddinbych (Denbigh, Wrexham, Ruthin,
Abergele, Llangollen)
